the street team is the heart of ANTI/gen. it's fusion.
most companies advertise through traditional means: billboards, magazine ads, posters, radio, maybe even tv. it makes sense as people need to know a business exists for a business to exist. our site is no good as a business if people don't know we exist. but, this is where we want to take a little different road...
basically, where most companies invest in advertising we want to instead dump into you. we want to build and sustain a symbiotic relationship between the supporters of, and anti/gen itself. everyone knows someone, and, not unlike a band's street team, we aim to provide those interested a means of helping get our name out. introducing people to us. in exchange, for those that actually do help us, we've got plans to give back to you.
in its simplest form you get a bunch of free, fun shit, as we come up with and have the money to invest in. also, a dynamic discount at the shop, which varies depending on what you're doing (and how you're doing). though, we have much larger ideas that also tie into some other ideas we have for the future of anti/gen, if and when this starts to take off -- we'll keep the rest unspoken for now. [read: we don't plan on stopping there]
we think it will be fun and rewarding for both of us. you'll have a more personal connection with the site, with us, and we'll have a more personal connection with you.
so, you like the sound of the above, and our vision / motivations are inline with your own: excellent. its totally free to apply to be a street team member. the only requirement is that you have a shop account because all of the programming logic runs through our store software. to apply, login to your account and under the street team section, click the apply link. there are a handful of questions there. think about your answers. the only reason we have people apply is because we're sincerely curious as to what your motives/ambitions are and we don't know you. consider it your informal introduction to us. from there, we'll check it out and get back to you.
not everyone is accepted. for an array of reasons that will likely be as consistent as the changing tide. maybe we don't have enough money for stickers, too many members to manage at the time, maybe we're swamped with other things and just can't get to the apps... who knows? we're have a lot to learn, on the whole, and we're very small and would like to keep it that way. regardless, we really appreciate everyone that is interested and will do our best to get back to everyone as quickly as possible.
